Dylan Halaszynski founded Bayard Food Service Design in 2022. Dylan started his career with a Shawmut Design and Construction working on restaurant fit-outs in the New York tri-state area. After years in construction management, he pivoted to begin working as a food service design consultant for boutique firms in NYC. Seeking a new challenge, he moved in-house at Urbanspace in 2019, working with the individual vendors before striking out on his own with Bayard FSD. Dylan has a deep understanding of the Department of Health codes in various jurisdictions around the country, and designs to work within them, pushing the boundaries of the Jurisdiction when needed – For example, when food halls and their communal prep spaces are not spelled out in code, but will still need to be inspected and graded.
