Nate immigrated from Thailand at the age of fourteen and has become a symbol of hard work and young entrepreneurial success in both his local community and back in Thailand. Now 34 years old, he has 20 years of hospitality experience in fine dining, fast casual, and nightlife concepts.
In 2012, Nate founded University of Beer, a full-service craft beer bar and elevated kitchen concept. In just 10 years, he has grown the company to seven locations in the Greater Sacramento Area of Northern California and currently staffs upwards of 250 employees.
Nate preaches in a zero-investor, single-shareholder model, which allows him the freedom to focus on long-term company culture, vision, and growth.
His advice to those who want to grow a successful multi-unit concept: “Start small and learn how to walk really well before you try to run.”
